As part of the SLVR collection, Adidas has released these SLVR 101 kicks in their online store. At first glance, these shoes look like a combination of a sneaker and a pair of dress shoes. Due largely to the high quality leather and intricate stitching, the Adidas SLVR 101 will run you $195 at the SLVR STORE.
The black upper is complemented with white midsole. The black laces fit seamlessly over the black leather and just a bit of shine is added by the logo on the tongue. Overall, this might be the smoothest release yet by Adidas is 2009.
If you watched the 2009 NBA Slam Dunk contest, you undoubtedly saw Superman AKA Dwight Howard putting on a show. To help out Superman, Adidas worked up a few different shoes for Howard to wear during the contest. Dwight chose to wear this pair of glossy Adidas TS Bounce Commanders.
As you could expect from a pair of kicks inspired by Superman, the color scheme of these sneakers revolves around red and blue. To further enhance the connection between these shoes and Dwight Howard these shoes have Howard’s number 12 on the side.
If you are interested in having a fruitful 2009, check out these two fruit inspired kicks from this Adidas Consortium B-Ball pack. After a quick look at these shoes, you’ll quickly realize the two fruits these shoes were modeled after – watermelon and pumpkin. The watermelon will make for a juicy shoe to wear during the spring, while the pumpkin would be perfect for summer all the way to Halloween 2009.

As expected, the watermelon version has a colorway of green, black and red. There’s even a watermelon slice on the tag on the tongue, plus some extra seeds added around the ankle. The pumpkin version isn’t as overwhelming but it does feature a pumpkin on the tongue tag.
Adidas had a lot of exciting releases in 2008. In 2009, it looks like it will continue as this Adidas Consortium Spring/Summer collection features some very interesting kicks. If you like what you see, you can find the sneakers in this pack over at retailers such as VA.
Virtually all of the kicks in the collection stand out for one reason or another. Perhaps the shoe that stands out the most are the striped Stan Smiths. The black stripes on top of a red, white and blue colorway really works well. The Micropacers also feature a very unique look. With all the textures and patterns at work in all these shoes, they have a very “busy” feel.
This is the Nike Women’s Valentine Day Quickstrike Pack. This Pack has two colorways. Red and white are excellent theme colors for Valentine’s Day. It is a pity these are only for women because opposite sex couples may like to purchase these red and white colorways to wear them. Each pair sells for $78 at “Rock Paper Scissors” website.
The red colorway is a patent red with exaggerated white piping for accents. The toe box is separated from the high mudguard by the white piping. The shoe lace panel is bordered by white piping. This accentuates the shoe lace, which is in contrasting black. The shoe strap across the collar of the ankle is attractively designed using the red and white colors. The red Nike swoosh is also lined in white piping. The midsole is of course in white and the outsole is finished in red color.
The white colorway has silver piping for accents. It is as good looking as its red/white counterpart. One difference is that this colorway uses a white shoe lace, which blends into the shoe, unlike the red colorway, which chooses to be outstanding with a contrasting color for the shoe lace.
